Bryan Gleason: President & Founder Historic Capital Group
Bryan Gleason grew up in a small town outside Philadelphia in his families third generation historic hotel and restaurant. After over fifty years of ownership, the family decided it was time to sell. Bryan took on the arduous task of running the family business until an appropriate buyer was found. Three years and four real estate companies later, only by luck, a buyer was finally found.
Concerned with his experience of trying to sell his family’s unique historic property and the rapid rise of sprawl, the initial idea of creating the Historic Capital Group was planted.
Bryan relocated to Washington D.C. and spent the next several years learning everything he could about real estate. Bryan earned real estate licenses in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland and became trained in Historic Real Estate by the Historic Trust for Historic Preservation. He helped launch My Home Management Club; a national resource and advocacy service for home owners.
In 2009 Bryan launched American Lands, a national website for historic and conservation real estate. The site soon became the premier website for marketing many types of unique properties. The website focused on historic and conservation properties and also contained sections on green real estate, vineyards, and organic farms. The site is under going a major facelift and will relaunch in the spring of 2011.
During this time he also served as a Real Estate consultant for local land trusts and conservation groups. Bryan continued educating himself by attending training and conferences around the county for historic, commercial, conservation, and green real estate. Today Bryan is known as an expert resource in marketing historic and conservation real estate.
Bryan created the Historic Capital Group to bring buyers and sellers of unique American properties together.
